The Role
The Purchasing Expeditor ensures the timely delivery of materials, components, and products by monitoring purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving delivery issues. This role is essential for maintaining on time in full delivery to customers, minimising delays, and supporting operational efficiency. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm order status, shipment dates, and resolve delays.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations and warehouse) to prioritise urgent orders.
  • Update procurement systems with accurate delivery schedules and status changes.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in quantity, quality, or documentation.
  • Communicate any delays, issues to the correct line of escalation internally.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships to improve responsiveness and reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes.
About you
Qualifications & Skills 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
 
Education & Experience 
  • GCSE or CIPS Level 2, 1-2 years office experience
 
Work Environment 
  • Office-based with occasional visits to warehouses or supplier sites.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
